The detox diet is a current trend throughout the world, especially on those dates after major holidays such as Christmas, in which people tend to eat and drink a little more than is recommended. These routines start from a somewhat questionable premise, giving food certain detoxifying properties that, on the other hand, can be taken care of by the body’s own metabolism. In any case, given its popularity, in the following we present a menu proposal for five days of detox diet.

Prepare a five-day detox menu

  1. First day of detox diet

At breakfast 30 grams of oat flakes with 150 ml of skimmed milk and a green tea; at lunch two whole grain cookies; for lunch, two turkey breast fillets with half a grilled eggplant, two slices of whole meal bread and a red tea; at snack two tangerines; for dinner, two hake fillets with sautéed grilled vegetables, two slices of whole wheat bread and an infusion of horsetail.

  1. Second day of detox diet

At breakfast, a slice of whole wheat bread with light jam and green tea; at lunch an apple; for lunch, a chicken breast fillet with sautéed green asparagus and grilled mushrooms, a slice of whole wheat bread and red tea; at snack an orange; for dinner, a swordfish fillet with steamed carrots and zucchini, a slice of whole meal bread and an infusion of horsetail.

  1. Third day of detox diet

At breakfast, a skimmed yogurt with bifidus, 30 grams of oat flakes and a green tea; at lunch an orange and carrot juice; for lunch, a small cuttlefish with a sliced ​​tomato, a slice of whole meal bread and red tea; at snack a portion of skimmed cheese with a small spoonful of light jam; at dinner, a stir-fry of vegetables, a slice of whole wheat bread and an infusion of horsetail.

  1. Fourth day of detox diet 

At breakfast 20 grams of muesli with a low-fat natural yogurt; at lunch a piece of pineapple in nature; for lunch, a mixed vegetable salad without dressing with a piece of skimmed white cheese and red tea; half a mango for snacks; at dinner a carrot, celery, onion and spinach puree and an infusion of horsetail.

  1. Fifth day of detox diet

At breakfast two tangerines and an apple; at lunch two kiwis and a pear; for lunch, a mixed vegetable salad with a little apple cider vinegar, a low-fat natural yogurt and red tea; half a grapefruit and two slices of natural pineapple for snack; at dinner a puree of peas, zucchini and asparagus and an infusion of horsetail.
