Detox diets, due to their intrinsic characteristics, can become antioxidant eating routines. We know that fruit, one of the fundamental ingredients of this type of diet, is some food rich in antioxidants, substances that, precisely, actively combat premature aging of cells.

For this reason, a detox diet can have an antioxidant phase apart from the cleansing one itself. In the following lines we are going to show an example of a detox menu adapted to enhance anti-aging functions.

Preparation of a detox menu with antioxidant characteristics

  1. Monday: at breakfast eight cherries and 30 grams of whole grains; in the middle of the morning an unsweetened coffee with a little skimmed milk; for lunch, a spinach salad, a grilled chicken breast fillet and green tea; in the snack 40 grams of fresh cheese and a kiwi; baked hake for dinner and skimmed yogurt.

Tuesday: at breakfast fresh cheese with a little low-calorie jam; in the middle of the morning a walnut and a low-fat yogurt; for lunch, a pasta salad and black tea; in the snack a couple of slices of pineapple to the natural and 30 grams of ham york; At dinner, grilled vegetables and a low-fat yogurt.
  3. Wednesday: at breakfast strawberry salad with orange juice; in the middle of the morning 30 grams of turkey and a tangerine; for lunch, strips of serrano ham with cabbage and a grilled emperor steak; in the snack a walnut and a low-fat yogurt; at dinner a nectarine, cheese and turkey salad and a low-fat yogurt.
  4. Thursday: for breakfast two wholemeal bread biscuits with low-calorie jam; in the middle of the morning a kiwi and 30 grams of turkey; for lunch cream of asparagus and a grilled turkey fillet; in the snack a walnut and a skimmed yoghurt; at dinner a salad of strawberries and smoked salmon and a low-fat yogurt.
  5. Friday: at breakfast 30 grams of whole grains and an orange juice; in the middle of the morning an unsweetened coffee and a little skimmed milk; for lunch, a boletus and Parmesan cheese salad and a grilled tuna steak; in the snack a walnut and a skimmed yoghurt; at dinner a fruit salad with fresh cheese and a low-fat yogurt.
